The Prophecy of Nostradamus has kept the protagonists in Chainsaw Man quite busy for several chapters. They fear that with the Death Devil arriving on Earth, there will be absolute chaos. To avoid it from happening, Chainsaw Man is their only solution. However, Chainsaw Man chapter 198 shocked everyone by revealing the Death Devil has already descended upon Earth, under the disguise of Fami (Famine Devil).
She interrupted the fight between the Fake Chainsaw Man and the original Famine Devil. Tatsuki Fujimoto’s magnificent twist left everyone speechless, and possibly it could not get any wilder from there. Unfortunately, the mangaka proved everyone wrong again by highlighting two of Death Devil’s puppets in Chainsaw Man chapter 199.
Death Devil’s Rampage Is About To Begin
The Death Devil is making her move and the Prophecy of Nostradamus might finally come true, and in the name of salvation, it might be the end of humanity. She devoured the Famine Devil and the Fake Chainsaw Man and later turned them into her puppets. She commands them to bring an “abyss of terror” upon mankind. With salvation on their minds, the two devil puppets will begin their rampaging.
However, there might be a secret to enslaving the other living beings. In Chainsaw Man ch. 199, the Death Devil asked the Falling Devil to prepare a meal with the Fake Chainsaw Man and the Famine Devil, and instead of devouring it herself, a bunch of crows arrived and ate their flesh, since the strongest Devil believes meat tastes the best when it’s fresh.
After devouring them, the Death Devil puts her hand inside her mouth to bring out two small carved-out puppets of the recently devoured Devils and turns them into their former selves, but with full control over them. The extent of her abilities is currently unknown. Still, because she has turned her sister into a Devil puppet, she might need the help of the Falling Devil to prepare the most exquisite meal with the creatures the Death Devil wants to enslave.
What’s Coming Next in CSM?
Chainsaw Man ch. 199 has most likely commenced the Prophecy of Nostradamus with the Death Devil turning the Famine Devil and Fake Chainsaw Man her slaves and using them for destruction. The future of the manga might explore how Death Devil plans on turning the world upside down with destruction. The news of the Death Devil ascending upon Earth is still unknown to Yoru and Denji, who were planning on taking down the Death Devil.
Denji is the strongest and most able candidate to face the strongest sister from the Four Horsemen of Apocalypse, and with Yoru by his side, there could still be a chance to reverse the Prophecy of Nostradamus. If the latter becomes a reality, it will mark the day people will fear death the most, and the protagonists will look to avoid such situations.
