Here are some of the most gruesome events that Denji faced head-on.
Denji is sexually assaulted by Yoru in Chainsaw Man chapter 167
As Chapter 167 hit the deck, fans caused a lot of uproar on social media platforms expressing their concerns about Yoru sexually assaulting Denji. As Asa Mitaka is revealed to have a crush on Chainsaw Man, Yoru’s hatred takes over as she threatens to cut Denji’s genitals off with a knife.
This quickly shifts as she proceeds to fondle and kiss him inappropriately. The uncomfortable scenario then led to Yoru emotionally abusing him by revealing her innate hatred toward him. Although Yoru is seen feeling remorse for what she had done, the fallout remains the same and the damage has already been done to the poor boy.
Dismembered by Public Safety
Fans’ presumption about Public Safety wanting to take advantage of Denji came to fruition as Chapter 156 was published. After Denji’s one-week slumber in the hospital came to an end, his motivation of wanting to help his little sister Nayuta was his goal. However, the next panel showed our protagonist being dismembered by surgeons, as he is tied up to the bed.
The last time he was butchered by Katana Man, the selfless Pochita replaced itself in Denji’s heart, prompting his body to regenerate itself.
Witnessed Nayuta’s Severed Head on a Platter
Among fans, Nayuta’s death was not certain after Chapter 170 was released. However, Denji treated her like she was a little sister and cared for her being. In classic Tatsuki Fujimoto fashion, our beloved protagonist struggles again as he witnesses Nayuta’s severed head making its way on a Sushi conveyor belt. Denji goes berserk and rips Baden’s head with his bare hands after he appears nonchalant about the matter.

Denji Sent to Aging World
Amidst fighting a losing battle against the Aging Devil, Denji gets sent to the Aging World in Chapter 180, where multiple devil hunters are stuck for nearly a century. The recent chapters suggest that he is in for a world of trouble as he gets stuck with War Devil Yoru, who hates him with a passion.
Gets Sexually Assaulted Again
Alongside Denji, War Devil Yoru is also caught in the Aging World. After accusing the Aging Devil of stolen valor, Yoru’s goal was to kill Denji herself. However, interfering in their battle prompted her to land in the devil’s chasm. Chapter 181 shows her frustration with Denji once again as her murderous rage fails to work in this world. In the final panel, for reasons unknown, Yoru once again sexually assaults a worn-out Denji by kissing him without consent.
