Is Gachiakuta Setting Up a New Entry in the Watchman Series?

With Gachiakuta soon set to conclude its first season, the anime has made several revelations surrounding the Watchman series. Rudo and the Cleaners knew there was something peculiar about the symbol on Rudo’s 3R. However, the details about the same were only revealed after Zodyl Typhon made his first appearance.

Up until now, the anime has confirmed three vital instruments from the Watchman Series, notably Rudo’s 3R Gloves, Amo’s Boots, and Zodyl’s Mishra Coat, and teased the other instruments. Zodyl wanted to collect all Vital Instruments from the Watchman series and use them to destroy the Sphere. Amid this, he also wished to create his own entry into the Watchman Series.

Gachiakuta’s Zodyl Wants to Create a New Entry in the Watchman Series

As revealed by Zodyl Typhon during the Trash Storm Arc, the Raiders had managed to find two Watchman Series items. However, when he tried to make an imitation Watchman Series item, he failed. This failed Watchman Series piece was a charm said to have the power of protection. So, when Zodyl later created a giant trash beast that fed on vital instruments, he used the failed Watchman Series piece as its core.

This was later also confirmed by Guita when she shared what she overheard from the conversation between Zodyl and Rudo. Although she knew Zodyl was after all the Watchman Series items, she wasn’t sure what the Raiders leader hoped to achieve upon collecting them.

Will Gachiakuta Introduce a New Entry in the Watchman Series?

While the anime has not confirmed that creating a new entry in the Watchman Series was possible, it could be a plot point that the story might return to. Considering that Zodyl Typhon tried to create a Watchman Series item even before he first appeared in the series, there is a chance that his dream may come true.

Zodyl wanted to reach the Sphere by any means necessary. So, while he could likely do it by collecting all pieces of the Watchman Series, given that one of them was with Rudo, the story could show Zodyl creating his own entry.

So, as the story unveils more information about the Watchman Series in the future, the anime might see Zodyl realize his mistake while creating the Failed Watchman Series piece. As such, there is a chance that he might succeed in creating an entry in the future. That said, fans should take this with a grain of salt, as it is merely a prediction.
